Overview: SAS (Serial Attached SCSI), also known as Serial Attached SCSI, is a new generation of SCSI technology, like the current popular Serial ATA (SATA) hard drives, uses serial technology to achieve higher transmission speeds and improves internal space by shortening connection lines.
